Spiral Dynamics describes consciousness development both at a personal and a collective level. It is based on the work of American Professor Emeritus of Psychology Clare W. Graves. It describes eight levels, expressed in value systems, each with their own colours. These levels climb from a simple structure and increase in complexity.
The overall theme presents a way of thinking about the complexities of human existence and understanding the order and chaos in human affairs. Spiral Dynamics is extremely effective at revealing and identifying our value systems and why people think, believe, judge, observe and evaluate. Each value system has its own characteristic expression. This approach explains deep forces in human nature which shape our values, and lays out both a pattern and trajectory for change.
Spiral Dynamics will help you gain a greater understanding of how people, organisations and cultures function, and will empower individuals to assist teams and organisations to work, learn and live more effectively and successfully.
